Individual Therapy
A space to understand yourself and your relationships
People come to individual therapy for many different reasons.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low in confidence. You may be struggling with a harsh inner critic, feeling uncertain about who you are, or noticing that the same emotional or relationship patterns keep returning.
Sometimes the difficulty is clearly connected to a partner, family member or friendship. At other times, it may be more about the relationship you have with yourself — feeling disconnected from your needs, finding it difficult to trust your feelings, or appearing capable on the outside while feeling vulnerable or unsure internally.
Individual therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore what is happening for you. Together, we can begin to understand both the immediate difficulty and what may be sitting beneath it.
My approach is warm, thoughtful and collaborative. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong. We can begin with whatever feels most important and allow the work to develop at a pace that feels manageable.
More on 1-2-1 therapy with me
I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models and approaches. This allows me to tailor the work to each person, finding the way of working that feels most helpful and supportive for you.

I work with people experiencing:
anxiety, shame or persistent self-doubt
low self-worth or a strong inner critic
difficulty feeling confident or comfortable around other people
challenging family relationships or the impact of earlier family roles
friendship difficulties, loneliness or uncertainty about belonging
repeating patterns in dating or intimate relationships
conflict, separation, rejection or loss of trust
challenges around closeness, desire, boundaries or sexual connection
grief, loss and significant changes in life or identity
feeling disconnected from yourself, your emotions or what you need
questions about meaning, direction and how you want to live
-
Therapy can offer a space to slow down and explore your experience more fully. It may help you to:
understand yourself and your emotional responses more deeply
recognise patterns in your relationships and inner life
explore how earlier experiences may still be affecting you
develop a less critical and more supportive relationship with yourself
become clearer about your feelings, needs and boundaries
feel more grounded and connected
experiment with different ways of responding to yourself and others
For some people, therapy provides shorter-term support around a particular concern. For others, it becomes a longer-term space for deeper understanding and change.
